Need help with my cd-rw & dvd drive on startup

I hope this is the right forum but everytime i start my pc up or restart it wondows ask me to install a driver it was doing that for cd-rw drive and i also put in a dvd-rom drive and it does it with that to so i'm pretty sure it's a window's problem i was wondering if anybody can help me to stop windows xp from doing that on start up really hope somebody can help me thx

B2BG you have not mentioned description of PC and brand of cdrw/dvdrom and since when you are facing this problem, any hardware changes/updates. Have you tried windows driver updates yet (in windows updates.)
