Using Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) and can't get out of it. It will only let me use the 16 color setting. Tried installing Super VGA and it won't work. Makes it start up in safe mode and tells me I have display problems. I have Windows 98 SE running on my computer. How do I find the right adapter for my problem. Any help would be great before I go crazy trying to fix it.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums ibhoot.

You need to install the right drivers for your particular display card, only then you will get more choices as to colors & resolution.

To find what display (vga) card you have, install this, Everest Home Edition (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html) and then post the name/model here and we will find the right drivers for you.

Either give us your motherboard make/model or the video card information.

In everest home edition, look for Computer-->Summary, the info you want should be there.

Also look under Motherboard-->Motherboard, there is also Display-->Windows Video.
