I have been burning dvd's with Nero with no problems but the last few times I have tried it has failed. Before I post the log I just want to say that I've been using the same type dvd-r and it has worked before. Like I said the last couple burns have not worked.

Whoa that's one hell of a way to intoduce yourself & a big, Big, BIG fat log !
Nerovision logs pah, they don't tell you what's wrong, they tell you all the stuff they loaded up !
So Nerovision is for authoring dvd's really, but people kind of use it for other things that this forum isn't allowed to answer about, so can you describe carefully just what you are doing ?
& have you tried producing dvd's any other ways ? Can you sucessfully write a data dvd or do a direct copy of one that no longer requires shrinking to fit ?

I am making compilation DVD's. I have made them using other methods. It has worked with DVD Builder with Roxio. I have a copy of the old TV show Tales From the Darkside but the episodes where out of order so I am putting them back in order. This has worked the last 3 times or so but all of a sudden it stopped working. I am using windows XP.

This has worked the last 3 times or so but all of a sudden it stopped working..
Ok so either something changed software wise or the unit is faulty, we need to figure out which ..
Did anything get installed &/or changed near or around this time ?
Can you answer this bit for me please? ..have you tried producing dvd's any other ways ? Can you sucessfully write a data dvd or do a direct copy of one that no longer requires shrinking to fit ?.. & also will this drive happily read pressed dvd'd & cd's ? & what's it like with ones you've previously written ?

I just try to burn a data-dvd and it worked fine. My player has no problem playing the disc's I burned prior. As far as I can rememeber nothing have been installed and/or changed but I can not be certain of that. The episodes of the show I am putting on this DVD do not need to be shrunk to fit at all. It's confusing because like I said it worked about 7 days ago and now it just fails. I will continue to try and figure it out but if you have any suggestions please let me know.

After messing around with this NeroVison Express 3 it seems I can burn what I'm trying to burn to my hard drive but not onto a dvd. This makes no sense because I am doing nothing different and this has worked before. Just one day.... BAM... no work. I have no idea!

Have you looked at what burner its using for the dvd?
Does it correctly list the dvd burner you have?

Yes. I have a choice of which burner I want to use. Since only 1 of the 2 of them burns dvd's I always choose the dvd one. I'm at a loss because I don't know what went wrong.

If you can burn & read data disks 'fine', & apparently read them ok too, then that sounds to be nerovision specific, & it shouldn't be any codec issue if you can burn an image of the same disk .. so I'd try an 'add/remove' of nerovision next for how long it takes ..
