You need a registry hack to remove it completely... Using the Registry - Start/Run/Regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar Set the String value of "LinksFolderName" to equal a blank string. Open IE and delete the Links folder from the Favorites menu. The next time you start Internet Explorer the Links folder will not be recreated confus-ed January 2nd, 2006, 07:03 AM Until you restart Internet Explorer again that is... Awwww well then, there's a good point :thumbs2: .. but when I tried it, it turns out that it only reappears if you do a re-tard .. ..If you attempt to move, delete, or rename the Links folder on the Favorites menu in Internet Explorer, it is automatically re-created the next time you start your computer. CAUSE This behavior occurs because the Links folder is a special Internet Explorer folder that cannot be moved, deleted, or renamed. RESOLUTION Although the Links folder cannot be deleted, the properties of the Links folder can be set to Hidden so that the folder is no longer displayed when you open the Favorites. Methinks this is how Billy Boy Gates & M$ think you ought to fix this (even though the 'applies to' bit doesn't include IE6) .. Cannot Move, Delete, or Rename Links Folder on Favorites Menu (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=179599) Viki January 3rd, 2006, 09:03 AM I did the registry thing, it worked, thanks. windrivers.com
