We are using a Hewlett Packard OfficeJet G85 all-in-one scanner/fax/printer at the company I work for. For the most part, we have been extremely pleased with it.

Except... in the fax log function of the software package that comes with the printer, it at times will just delete a set of dates.

Example: all faxes sent and received are recorded up to 12/19/2001, but there are none recorded from that date until 12/28/2001.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this to occur? (And I have double checked to make sure, and we did receive and send out faxes on days in between those two dates)

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

This is the only thing I could find concerning fax log problems: Deleting Fax Log Entries. Of course, this refers to NOT being able to delete entries, but you might want to read up on it anyway.

I know that with my OfficeJet 500, if we lose power, the OfficeJet loses its memory as far as the date/time, etc. is concerned...it has to be reprogrammed by the Host computer. Is it possible that you lost power over that time frame that you're conerned about? Just an idea...

Good Luck!
