Hi,
I was tring to play Need for Speed Most Wanted on my LCD TV (Syntax 32in Olevia LT32HVE) But not matter what resolution I use, the LCD TV can not show anything. The error message from the LCD TV is "not support".
I can run the game on my 19in Samsung LCD monitor with VGA connection pretty good. And I can run NSF Underground on my LCD TV without any problems.
Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

My system:
AMD 64 3200+
Abit AX8 MOBO
Corsair pc3200 ddr400 2gb
Visiontek XTASY™ RADEON® X800 (LCD TV is connected through DVI port and LCD monitor is connected with VGA port)
WD Raptor 74GB
Samsung Samsung SyncMaster 915N (1280x1024, 8ms)
Syntax Olevia LT32HVE LCD TV (1366 x 768, I used many different resolution setup, like 1280*768, 1024*768 or 800*600, but none of them worked)

BTW, I also set the LCD TV as primary monitor, but it was useless.

If this is xp, perhaps run 'dxdiag' & find the tab 'more help' - if you look there you find an option 'click this button to overide DirectDraw's refresh rate' - & put 60 in the box.

Any better ?

This bit;- ..The error message from the LCD TV is "not support"...

Is saying to me, that's what's wrong isn't anything wrong with your pc, but that this particular TV just can't support the refresh rate (or possibly resolution) being presented to it, 60mhz for refresh rate works on most stuff ..

Can you get 'desktop' ok on it ?

Thanks for the fast reply! I will try to run dxdiag after I go home.
I can show nearly everything else (playing game, watching DVD, MPEG, and of couse the desktop) on the LCD TV.

Most welcome I'm sure ;)

Just remember that by doing this we've set the refresh for all your directx 'powered' games at 60MHz

Now that we know the answer, as to what's doing this, it might be better if you can set the refresh rate in your game(s) seperately & untick this box  (but not all games allow/support the function, so you just might have to live with it)

Actually, I just set the refresh rate in directx back to default.
And just set my LCD TV refresh rate to 60MHz and it still works fine!
