I have a Compaq Armada 7790DMT laptop that I just put windows XP professional on it and it works great. My problem is, I now have a 10" inc. screen on a 13" inc. monitor. It has a S3 Aurora 64+ video card in it but I can't seem to find any kind of driver for this card to download in hopes that it would correct my screen sizing problem. Can anyone help?? Thanks!!

Did you try changing your screen resolution from 800X600 to 1024X768?

jrrram,
having a small screen is nothing to be ashamed of. that is the first thing you must come to grips with. it works the same as the larger model, however some prefer the portability of a smaller size, you can take it places a larger screen would feel cumbersome. altho it may elicit snickers and cutting-remarks in the computer lab. work with what you have, after all you don't have much choice.

you can try changing the resolution to 1024x768...that may fill the unused acreage. good luck and keep your chin up.

Heh, welcome to WinDrivers, JRRam!

You're really pushing the limits for low-spec with that one! Sadly, no-one will be able to help with drivers:

"The following S3 and S3 Graphics products are considered obsolete. S3 / S3 Graphics has ceased manufacture and sale of this product. Drivers for new operating systems or any other support for these devices is not provided. Unless in-the-box drivers exist (as noted below), drivers for current operating systems are not available for any of the following products.

M65 Aurora64V+ : 2K XP S03

Key:
2K = Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2000 include driver "In the box"
XP = Windows XP includes driver "In the box"
S03 = Windows Server 2003 includes driver "In the box"

http://www.s3graphics.com/en/resources/drivers/legacy/index.jsp

Your only option is if the correct resolution is available within WinXP using the internal driver it has installed.

I had the same problem on my laptop.
Go to BIOS
It has nothing to do with the OS or drivers
HP has the same setting in their BIOS
USE FULL SCREEN MODE
or something like that
DO NOT:
change anything in BIOS if you do not know what you are doing!
look for anything that may have to do with fullscreen mode.
HOPE IT WORKS!
let me know
