Does anyone have experience with both of these routers? What are their "true" useable distances and performance in a home environment?

Or;

Can anyone point me to a good review article that tests both routers side-by-side, and supplies the above information?

I have the WRT54G (no speedbooster) and have been very happy with it. Overall my linksys products have been very reliable and the few problems I have had LinkSys support was good.
