Hey all, got a quick question.

I've got a HP pavilion ze5300 notebook, just installed Windows on it with a disk from a friend, and there are no video drivers installed. Im having difficulty trying to figure out what type of video card it has, and where i can get drivers for it.

It has an AMD athalon xp2600+, an ALI audio accelerator WMD driver, Audio codecs and Legacy audio drivers, and Video codecs.

There is a spot in the device manager with a yellow '?' marked other devices, and VIDEO CONTROLLER (VGA compatible) underneath with a yellow '!' beside it.

I am pretty sure its a Trident, remembering from long ago, but my memory could be wrong.

I would really appreciate any help, if someone could point me in the right direction :)

According to HP http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?dlc=en&lc=en&product=455045&lang=en&cc=us&os=228# the only video driver they have listed is for an ATI card. The link above takes you to HP's Driver page for Windows XP for the Pavilion ze5300

If you are still unsure about the hardware in your system Everest Home Edition does a good job identifying hardware http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181. This has helped me on computers I have worked on.
