I compose music on Noteworthy Composer. Now, I let the computer alone this weekend and my brother and sister used it. I don't know what they did, but since, anything I composed that's in the treble makes a weird sliding noise. I checked my volume controls in midi and I couldn't find the issue. Any help would be great!

Go into control panel Sounds and Audio Devices look for what your midi music playback is operating with, ie, what synthesizer.

Try a change if available.

I changed it from Creative SBPCI Syntheiseizer to Microsoft GS Wavertable SW Synth. The sliding went away but the midi sounds 'cheaper' and less 'relaistic'. The Creative SBPCI sounds closer to a piano. As far as I know, I've always had it on Creative SBPCI Syntheiseizer so I think its something else.

SBPCI Synth will be correct, the MS Wavetable will probably give you Soundblaster sounds.

Check in the card's control panel in case an effect has been set eg chorus. SB PCI has some odd sounding effects available.
