I appear to have the same problem as many other people here; I installed a new hard drive this afternoon and after reloading windows xp using the system recovery disc I have no sound. Apparently my system is as follows:

Operating System
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 1 (build 2600)

System Model
TriGem Computer NETHERLANDS Dream Sys Ver1.0
Enclosure Type: Desktop

Main Circuit Board b
Board: TriGem Computer NETHERLANDS Advent Series Ver1.0
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 08/18/2003

Please help?

Unfortunately that tells us very little about your system. This utility should help you detect your devices and you can even create a report in HTML format that you can attach. Or you may get lucky and the program will provide links to your hardware.
