Well,All is well as long as you leave out violence. This will
probably be much better for the young ones than "Anne of Green Gables".
(I sure miss all my Looney Tune buddies.)
Damn scruples anymore.
The Incredible Hulk:Now that would be a twist. I Pity his victims.

I remember "Batgirl" was Commisioner Gordons' daughter, but I don't remember a batwoman... She shares the same last name as Batmans' creator, Bob Kane. " The Incredible Hulk:Now that would be a twist. I Pity his victims. " -- Thanks for the laugh, Street1! It is a disturbing mental picture...

Frankly I dont care. This is just a comic book. As long as DC does a good job with the book interweaving the fact that she is a lesbian in with her superheronie persona, it should be interesting to read.
What WILL ruin this book I think is if DC decides to turn this title into a political rag at the expense of the Batman family fans. She isnt the first outwardly gay comic character, and shouldnt be treated as if she is.

I don't really give a rat's rectum as to whether DC rewrites all their superheros out of the closet or not. My outrage is entirely mock and is intended for humorous dramatic effect only.
I am, however, quite serious about Emma Peel. Much of my testosterone steeped adolescent male life was spent daydreaming about pulling down the zippers on her leather jump suit. She was mega
I am not sure I could handle any cultural revisionism with Emma.

"This is not just about having a gay character," DiDio said. "We're trying for overall diversity in the DC universe. We have strong African-American, Hispanic and Asian characters. We're trying to get a better cross-section of our readership and the world."
Interesting that they contradict themselves in the same sentance. If it wasn't really about having a gay character then they would not have redone a already familiar character and created a new one. They didn't because they know it wouldn't do well but if they took over a old character people know then it might do alright. It's all about having a gay character and not this diversity.
Good thing none of my money has gone into comics for nearly 20 years now.
