Went to EVEREST Home Edition. Wow! great program and got a report on my OS Microsoft Windows 98 4.10.1998 - OS Service Pack

Got the Video Driver from Gateway works fine:

Intel(r) Extreme Video driver, version 4.13.01.3119
But as i said am clicking on 3 cilinders - no sound and can't locate the modem on win98.
Installed the GTW V.92 Voicemodem from the XP on D: partition and it almost blew me out of the water, for some reason it installed but can't be found; probably need BCM V.90 56k drivers for Modem - everything works great on xp.

You should find your modem driver at the below link.I am not sure which
one.I believe it is...GTW V.92 modem or GTW V.92 voice modem driver,
version 3.4.16
Hope this helps with the modem.

Hi Markduren!
Thanks for the responce, but i had already downloaded this file. Unzipped it and it went to C:Windows/Temp and when i went to Temp folder could not figure it out. Tried to click on the launcher/install but no luck. hard to figure out from there what to do. Maybe i should go to System>Device Manager? Does anyone have any idea from here.

try using device manager and click on the hardware not found then click on update driver and direct it to the temp folder you mention

I tried the file markduren2458 recommended and it is OK. I right clicked on my desktop first created new folder named it WDM3516d.Then I double clicked on the downloaded file,
clicked run-Then clicked browse-Then scrolled down until I saw folder WDM3516d-clicked on it-then clicked unzip.Statement came up telling me 98 files had been unzipped successfully. Then I went back to desktop opened new folder WDM3516d-scrolled down and found setup double clicked and away it went.

went to this sight, only bellow on the page to win98 and download the modem drivers and - was a complete success. I had installed the XP drivers and that's why they didn't work.

hi! street1 + markduren2458
My Version is Micrsoft Windows 98. This is obviously the first release, if it were SE or othewise it would have said so when i doubled clicked My Computer holding down the Alt key
Tried the WDM3516d AudioMax drivers, but it said that this OS is not supported by this software, also tried using device manager and click on the hardware not found then click on update driver and direct it to the WDM3516d folder markduren2458 mentioned but no luck clicked on a file in the folder 269601USA8 and said this UPDATE is not designed for your version of Windows.

Do you have Directx 8.1 installed on windows 98 ?See below site
http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=directx
I could not find a windows 98 First edition sound driver but,it is possible
the codec package for windows 95 will do the trick at below site???On the below one I read something about vxd instead of WDM if older than windows
