Is there a way to setup an "Out Of Office" autoreply message for office XP or does anyone know of a nice little free program that will do this?

Gabriel August 9th, 2006, 02:29 AM you mean in outlookXP? http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=290846 ??? Gabriel Kodiak August 9th, 2006, 11:41 AM No, Office Xp professional and there is no out of office assistant. Thanks though. Low_Level_Owl August 9th, 2006, 11:57 AM Out of Office is only available in Outlook. If this isn't what you're looking for, what are you trying to achieve? Kodiak August 9th, 2006, 06:54 PM This is Outlook. MS Office XP Professional. All I want to do is when I go out onsite to be able to auto reply to emails coming in that I will get back to them as soon as I'm back in office. Out of office assistant isn't in the toolbar list and not available. geoscomp August 9th, 2006, 10:03 PM Try this: in Outlook, go to Help, select about Microsoft Outlook. Select disabled items. Out of office assistant should be in the dialogue box. Click on enable and the assistant might work. Kodiak August 10th, 2006, 12:01 AM Nope Geo it's not in there either. I guess I will have to break down and buy a program like freebusy. Thanks for trying though. emr August 10th, 2006, 12:32 AM Out of office is only available if you are running from an Exchange Server. You can set up a rule that auto replies to every message you receive; the downside of this is that you would have to leave your Outlook on (and therefore your pc) for the time you are away in order that it can receive the mail and reply. Does your mail server host or ISP not provide a webmail interface where you can activate an auto reply? emr futuretech August 10th, 2006, 12:41 AM http://www.cyberwalker.net/columns/feb01/080201b.html This article describes setting up autoreplies in office 2002 (xp) windrivers.com
