VU Games sent out a press release (http://www.fearfans.com/newsitems/103) announcing that it will release the entire multiplayer component of the Monolith developed 2005 first person shooter F.E.A.R. as a free download on Thursday, Aug. 17.
The free game, called F.E.A.R. Combat, will have 19 multiplayer maps, 10 gameplay modes, 12 weapons, Punkbuster support and the ability to use user created mods. Users will have to obtain a free keycode from the www.joinfear.com website (http://www.joinfear.com/) to be able to play F.E.A.R. Combat.
