Both drives suddenly stop working

:flames: I am very unhappy because both of my dvd drives have suddenly stopped working, one after the other and I do not know what to do. One day it was working and then one stopped, and a few days later the other one stopped as well.

When I enter the CD, then the light flashes on and off as it should and makes trading whirring noises, however, when I double click on the icon, then the page shows a blank CD even though there is stuff on the CD.

I really don't know what to do and I really need help. Thanks.

Read below site .If you scroll down the page there is a - Download Guided Help-This program automatically fixes the upper and lower filters.You could use it or just follow the instructions and do it manually.

Check your ribbon connections/ if this is an older PC you most likely should replace the ribbon.
