I have an hp 895 printer and am trying to print a card with a picture on the cover and I want the photo to go all the way to the edge of the paper with no margin, I am tried with word 97, picture it, and microsoft publisher 2000, but they all leave about an 1/2 margin at the edge of the paper and it says before i print that some of the picture is in an unprintable area of the printer, I have tried putting the margin to zero on the various programs that didn't work, anything that i can do, I beleve it is the limits of the printer not the software but not sure. any help is appreciated.

Thank You

What you could try is to goto the control panel -> printers -> right-click on the problem printer -> select properties.

In the properties the tab called Paper or something like that you should find margin settings. Change these and see if it will print closer but probably not totally against the edge of the page.

Or you could try to fool the program that you are printing from by specifying a custom paper size that is slightly larger than 8.5 x 11. If .5" is as close to the edge as you can get, then tell the software that your paper is 9" x 11.5".

It might work.
