I'm mostly interested in hearing from teens that play on consoles, but everyone's opinion is welcome: Are the current games out on the market fun, or do you find them boring?
I ask because I am just over 30, and having played games since I was six, most games are looking like other games I've played, and they are starting to fail to hold my interest..
Let's hear it! What do you think of the current state of gaming?

Hmm. Looks like this thread has answered its own question.

Can't resist... must blurt out an opinion... YES! Console games are stale, same old sh1te in a high tech wrapper.
The same Corporate disease which has ruined movies, TV shows and entertainment in general, has spread to the consoles. God forbid anyone should take a chance on an unknown product, when making endless revisions of "proven" ones is so much safer and securely profitable. :guns:

[end of rant] :p

I haven't upgraded to the XBox 360 yet for that same reason. The graphics are better but the games haven't changed all that much. My neighbor has the 360 and the graphics are impressive on his HDTV. I do go over occasionally and play. I'll get one when the price drops, which eventually it will.
As for the PS3, I've already said it. Even it was better than the 360 is, which I doubt, the price will stop most normal people from buying it.
I am going tomorrow to pick up SplinterCell: Double Agent for the regular XBox.
Woohoo! I'm also looking forward to getting MS Flight Simulator X.
