HP 660c - only blinks!

Hello everyone. I recently acquired a used HP 660c. I hooked it up, but it will not do anything. The top light just blinks. I have the paper loaded correctly, and both the ink cartridges in. I used a driver set (the correct one) off the Windows 98 cd. Any suggestions?

I'm always having problems with Hp's, and found using the HP software to be the most (un)reliable.

Try replacing the ink cartridges. If one is empty or defective it will cause the light to blink.
