memory management error

I am running windows 98se dos on a computer.
the qemm386.sys works but there is a problem.
It interferes with my computers IDE controller.
when booting it does a memory check then the rest of the config.sys
autoexec.bat cannot complete their instructions because of the conflict.
I don't know any switches to fix this issue.
Running p4 on IBM Netvista 256mb ram 40gig and 80 gig hdds.

I am trying to get qemm97's dos driver to work in config.sys because it does work just only it interferes with the built in hard drive controller.
any switches or qemm equivelent boot instructions would help please.

OK, why on earth are you running qemm with a P4?? Just what are you hoping qemm will do for you?
