 I have had to recently re-install Microsoft Money 2005 back on to my desk top, I use Net Passport to login to my money but ever time I attempt to login I get the following error message
' Your sign-in information could not be verified. Go online or work offline check box, and then re-enter your sign-in information.'
I have reset my password but to a different one and that has not worked either.
Please could you splendid people out there advise me on how to put the problem to rights, as I have contacted Microsoft for advice but I am not going to pay them $35.00 for a one off contact to put the problem right.

OK, the first question would be, where you online when you signed in? Did you try working off line?
did you read this? (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891338)

I currently use Windows XP Home, and the answer to your question is that I was on line to login to money.
 And the link that you have sent does that apply to Windows XP and vista.

I have as of yet tried the other fixes that have been listed as of yet but when I turn off the phishing filter off I can log in to my money.
That is not my concern at this moment each time I change my default home page it reverts back to a MSN page and it is driving me crazy.
Any ideas guys and gals.

Did you opt to change your default home page?
Change it back to google and make sure you select UK english and set the home page as well... don't just click apply!

 I have tried that and it did not work
I have done everything in the book to set My home page to
http://www.tribeworld.com/.
Click tools then Internet Options
The the open box click on "Use Current" and then apply.
:knife: Close Internet Explore. Count 20 and re-open Internet Explore but it just returns to the following page. http://uk.msn.com/
Or have I missed something out. I have also tried turning of the phishing filter off, but that made no difference. :bor:

What anti-virus program or firewall are you using? Norton has a home page protection that stops home page being changed and i would imagine other anti-virus/firewall software has started doing the same thing

I am using Internet explore IE7 with Google tool bar. Windows XP Home edition SP2, windows phishing filter is on
The Anti-Virus programs that I currently installed on my PC are as follows
Norton Firewall 2006
Norton Anti Virus 2006
Norton Anti Spam 2004
Spy Sweeper + Anti Virus Up to-date or current version
StopZilla the current or recent version
The only reason I have Norton Anti Spam on the system is that it is the only one that I find it works very well if I could get my hands on a more recent version of that program I would install it. Not only that it is a stand alone program.
 Is that off help.

One of the features of Norton Anti virus 2006 is it
Prevents spyware programs from hijacking your home page and redirecting you to their download sites
So if you cant change the home page and get it to stick examine the anti virus settings and you should find the setting to change the home page there.

Have you been through the money 2005 link and tried every fix listed? If you disable Norton, does it work ok? If so, it is a Norton problem and not Money 2005.

 I have tried about 70% of that list of fixes that was advised to read through.:bor:
 I have disabled Norton and that did not make any difference, but what I have noticed is that if I do not remember the way I enter the password it will not recognize the password,
:guns: Problem is that it is difficult in which order I press the keys.:guns:

Errr!!!!............. No what I am trying to say is that each time I type the password in it will recognize it once but when I use the same patten of key strokes it will not be recognized I then have to try a different sequence of key strokes.
Ie...... use of number keys above main Key board for one part of password and the number key pad for the other part of the password.
Password contains 5 letters and 4 numbers.

The Keyboard that I use is a "Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1. and am very pleased with it and the performance of the keyboard.
The Batteries are in good health.

But is the transceiver good? It does not make sense that one part of the keyboard or another should give a different result... unless of course your keyboard drivers do not match your country settings...?

Everything seams to working but I am wondering on how do you test a wireless keyboard and a mouse.
Press the keys on the keyboard and the right symbols appear. and the mouse clicks and scrolls fine

You get a standard ps2 keyboard and see if you are forced to use the number pad or not to enter your passwords.

Yes I have disabled all antivirus programs that I have currently installed and it made no difference.

That fine if you use a Pc for work I use mine mostly used for home use.
But I still have doubts with Vista I shall leave for a while longer to let more of the bugs to be ironed out before I install it on to my PC.
