I tried to install the 1212u on Win98. First I installed ScanWise, then I plugged the USB. Win told me he was finding a new device, then told me that the device's name is "Unknow Peripherical". ScanWise can't find my scanner because of its name (it's hard to scan with an Unknow Peripherical)...
I'm also unable to install the .INF file provided with ScanWise, and I can't install it using Still Monitor (Stimon.exe).
Does anyone had the same problem?
Please e-mail me if you have a tip...

It appears I have a similar problem. Can anybody help?:

I've installed my scanner SNAPSCAN 1212u on my second computer with system XP.

Where it functioned perfectly under w2k, my other computer, in XP it doesn't function.

XP recognises the scanner, and infact it's possible to make an installement. But when I want to use the scanner with the latest downloaded version of scanwise, it appears there's no scanner. Also trying to turn on the scanner with the white button on the front, doesn't work. Even though when I restart my computer or plug the USB in and out, it does move the internal light.

What could be wrong? Maybe the drivers?
I know I installed a new cable, type USB2. But that can't possible be the error?

Thanks for your advise.
