Philips Tv Tuner FM1216ME Drivers Needed ASAP

hi everyone i have a Philips Tv Tuner FM1216ME card i a need the drivers for it i have looked everywhere and still cant find them if some one has the driver please post in here i need it ASAP.

The FM1216ME is the tuner module, which is used on a number of manufacturer's TV cards. Is it a Philips branded card? If not, do you know or can you find out who manufactured the card? If it's a Hauppauge for example, the drivers would be supplied by them, etc.

hay it is a Philips and it was in my Computer when i got it But i lost all the drivers and every thing and i have been to Philips.com and it isent there.

the computer i am have the Tv Card in to is a:Mercury model:Mercury2515
and it has Windows xp home sp2 on it.

Are you in Australia by any chance? If you've got one of the Mercurys that are thrown together from the leftover parts bin by iCom in South Australia, and sold cheap thru department stores, then we've got a problem...

i dident get the Tv Card with my pc.My brother gave it to me and he said he has looked everywhere for the drivers for it.

Is there any identifying information printed on the card itself that might be a model number or Philips manufacturing code (apart from numbers on the tuner module or chips mounted on the board). Are you certain that the card itself is definitely made by Philips?

Yes, you need to have some sort of capture program, windows media center provides that functionality... or you can use a number of other programs of this sort. A free one is at www.virtualdub.org

The driver didnt work on Windows media center. But I decided to download my program that I was using on my old computer (Intervideo Home theather) and with that program the card worked :D only problem I have no is that I have no sound but I think that can be fixed when I look at it ^^

I'm pretty sure it is the card that came in the HP media center m370n, made by Asus on a conexant chipset.....CX23880-19 is the decoder and CX23416-12 is the mpeg encoder.... it is an ASUS PVR-416 and this is the HP driver for it

I'm one of those struggeling with an old tv-card aswell.
Originally it did go with the Asus S-presso P111, but there's nothing left in the driver-department on Asus for this.
As I can understand, this card should work with the TV2000 Expert drivers of Leadtek, but no go.
My OS today is Vista 32bit (X86) and this is a few pictures of the card... mind the size though (blame my 5mpix camera... hehe)

I'm sitting with an TV card, that I've taken from a Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo T computer.

Here's the numbers/text from the card:

I've got an driver CD, but it won't install the driver.
Windows XP Professional SP3 can't find the drivers automatically, and I've searched the internet (Using Google), but got no results.

However, nothing that worked.

Can u zip the driver archive and upload it? (Would be nice 2 have and test for my card)
BTW. Those pictures was not infocus! See if u can capture the white text/silk-print on the card, and not the tuner-box (the phillips-box)

Hi guys, i really need drivers for philips fm1216me/h3, Beleive you me it is a pain in neck to find a driver for this nasty tuner card. If this forum is alive kindly help me finding the drivers for the same, i looked everywhere(google) and reached this place, and can see some of us are facing exactly the same problem that i am facing....

I have windows xp media centre installed on my computer.......

What you quote is actually the chipset... where did the board come from... a Dell, Packard-Bell, HP Pavilion or something and what model number was the computer?

I really don't know, i tell you i have a branded computer, which has msi motherboard(Intel 915g) , i opened up the cabinet and found philips card attached on the pci slot and took down the model no. which is philipsfm1216me/h3
presicely it looked something like this.

I don't know whether you heard of ESYS or not but it is a very good brand which is not availble accross the globe

yeah, it is esys.co.in, however i have gone thru this website and did not find the relevant information. Moreover my 3 year warranty is over now on august 2008

Don't make that assumption. Esys have no online support, and you use the drop down box to route it to service and support. Many companies will email you drivers. AOL is not a good role model.

In the meanwhile try this driver (http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Downloads/ProductsDetail_Download.aspx?detailid=495&DetailName=New&DetailDesc=&CategoryID=6&MenuID=6&LanID=9) ECS tend to use reference drivers, so it is likely that it would work.

going by your advice i sent my system to esys and now it is back and in device manager under sounds..etc, it is coming as winfast pvr 2000 wdm etc., which is properly installed, which means that it is winfast t.v tuner card, is that correct?? , Secondly, now i want to tell you that i am using mce to view t.v however picture quality is very bad and it is only picking up 20 channels for somereason. Do you have any suggestions?

Yes Winfast is a standard make.

Try retuning it, or checking your aerial?

Well there you go, you have an ASUS card with an HP part number!

So this came out of an HP computer... like this one (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv-28636-4&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&lang=en&os=228&product=501193) This says update, but may be the whole driver. If you can tell me which HP it came from, I can get the exact driver.

Well it is an HP part, if the HP drivers don't work, then it is possible the card is faulty.

for this one "tv7131-1325.exe"
not things happen when i install it.
it still doesn't work.....

I also try this one"sp26598.exe"
after I install it display like this:
"Please press YES to proceed with the update."
after I press "YES" it display a massage like this:
"The update did not complete successfully.
Error Number:9"

I just got more information from the guy I bought the card,
He says he just buy the HP products separately from china for many parts differently.
And he just assambly them in cambodia. that what we called "clone computer" in cambodia.

I just bought the card from him.and he does't have the cd driver too...
you see what i mean?

Unfortunately the drivers are not available for this card as there Advantech who made it have made it as a one off.

The picture is too small for me to try and find the similar drivers as I can't se any of the numbers. Can you post a high res of both sides making sure all the chips can be clearly seen please?

sry for not being able to provide a picture as i have been realy bussy and will provide it in the soon future , but in the mean time i want to know if i can get the driver from the PC that has the driver installed on, or atleast find out what the driver of the card is based on the installed driver on that PC ^^
