I have done a full system system backup using the backup utility provided within Windows 98, the backup process lasted about 3 hours the size was 977MB when compression had been used. When I tried to restore the computer found the backup set then informed me a temporary catalog was being created, however after nearly 4 hours the temporary catalog had still not been created I then canceled the operation. Being new to tape drives I would like to know if this is normal time to wait or is their a problem?, any help would be very much appreciated....
