Hello all!
I recently bought a Skymaster external casing which can be used with a variety of internal IDE devices. You can put anything in there, HDD, CD-ROM, CD-Writer, DVD, you name it.
Using the external case with a 20 GB HDD, I have been perfectly able to connect with Windows 9x/NT4 systems. However, I need to connect to a DOS laptop system.
The Skymaster site (http://www.dotop.com.tw) provides DOS drivers for PCMCIA cards with an LPT interface (whereas the regular way to connect the external casing is through LPT directly). The problem is that I don't have a PCMCIA card with a LPT interface. I only have the LPT interface. To my knowledge, Skymaster doesn't provide drivers for direct LPT connections using DOS.
Finally, my question to all of you tech people, are there any drivers that I can use to connect the Skymaster external casing using the LPT port directly?
If Skymaster doesn't provide these drivers, is there any other way I might be able to get a connection with the device?
Please send a copy of your reply to oven@casema.net.
Thanks in advance!
