I am running XP (home edition) with Service pack 2. I have been successfully uploading pictures from my Fuji Finepix F700 and a generic flash memory stick for 2yrs, until about 3-4 months ago. now wehn I plug either the camera or flash memory in XP recognises them when I view them via my computer (camera shows as "Fine Pix (H):") and I can access tehm via My Computer.
However, the Import Wizard doesn't appear automatically (I don't know if it is possible to activate it maually?). This is very annoying as the wizard allows me to copy the pictures over to the computer and give them "sensible" names.
I have tried tight clickig the drive when it is connected and going to properties/Autoplay and adjusting the settings. I have tried 'Prompt me each time...' and 'Select an option - copy pictures to folder....' and 'Reset Default settings', all without success.
Any one got any ideas??

Welcome to Windrivers newboy

I have an olympus and the only way I get that wizard is to install the camedia software olympus provides... I know fuji have a similar piece of software. You should try reinstalling that first.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it didn't help. However the good news is that I have managed to find a solution which suggested an autorun.exe download from MS web site - see link http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/3/t441653-ms-scanner-camera-wizard-won-run-for-you-try-this/
incase anyone else has the same problem.
Thanks:thumbs2:
