Hitachi HDC-756E Digital Camera

Can anyone help ? .. I recently purchased this camera and loaded the software onto my PC. The software is Ulead. I have taken photo's and video's with no problems. But when i view them on my PC , the photo's are fine but the video's I can't see. I get the sound from the video , but no images. I have tried viewing them on various other media players e.g Windows Media Player , Real Player , DivX etc etc , but still no image , just sound. Has anyone got the same camera and if so , are they having the same problem ? Can it be resolved ? ....Any help will be most appreciated.

what file extension do the vids have?

make sure all codecs are installed

Hi Mayet,
The file extensions on the video's are AVI files. Not being too technologically minded , I'm a bit ignorant as to the whole codec and technology side of camera. Would you happen to know where i could download the codec's ? .. I've tried on the Hitachi site but to no avail. Thank you for replying so quickly.

AVI files can be different sorts of codecs. Can you tell us a bit more about the process you used to transfer the video from the camera to the pc? Have you tried using ulead to play the video?
