The drive is being used on a Compaq Proliant 3000. An internal Adaptec controller (2940) that can be used or the internal Compaq controller because the server has an array adapter for the disks. Whichever controller that the drive is attached to detects the drive. The tape backup software being used is CAI ArcServe 6.1 with service pack 2 and the Changer Option v3.1 to make the autoloading part work. Cheyenne lists this drive as one that is compatible, and it does work to do manual backups. The problem becomes trying to use the "Changer Option", because when you run the install it does not find a changer. They have a utility that you can run that is suppose to detect a tape drive and a changer arm. When the utility is ran it only detects the tape drive. Any ideas? Anyine using this changer with other software?
