System Hangs

Hi Friends

I am using win98SE but from two days i have the problem of hanging the system, the system hangs some time 10 to 15 minitues after startup or suddenly after startup so i start in safe mode the same problem is there also and command prompt and there also system is hangs up so give me some sollution that i have to Format the system or there is a issue of some hardware so please help me ASAP.:(

I have not installed any software or any inputs, my system is assemble and its configs are:
HIS motherboard
Pentium 4, 1.7 GHz
128 MB SDRam
LanCard
80 GB Harddisk
Floppy Disk
Cd writer

I don't know very much about computers, but I'm hoping you can help me. I'm having a problem with my computer locking up many times when I boot up; and when I'm in the middle of something on the internet the computer lockup then restart the internet explorer to my homepage.

:wave: hi friends i got the solution of the system hangs it was due to the Norton antivirus 2005 and also due to the processor fan was little bit loose because the fan attached on the processor was little loose so i attached it properly and from 2 days it is working fine

The system you are using is very low configuration is low so it will work slow and you recive any massage in internet explorer so pls sent your relpay
