HP Tape Drive/NT

I have a Windows NT Server machine in for repair, and it has a HP Colorado 5GB IDE Tape Drive Installed. The driver on the CD that comes with the Tape Drive has been installed. When doing a backup through NT's backup, the compression option is not available to me, so I can only get 2.5GB per tape. Any ideas how to get software compression enabled?

You have to buy a software package that supports compression. MS backup for Win NT does not!!
