Try here: http://static.agfa.com/digicam_scanner_drivers/ STEVE1103 November 23rd, 2007, 01:33 PM Thanks, it still isn't working, no 1.1 for window's. NooNoo November 23rd, 2007, 01:48 PM Steve what do you mean? usb 1.1? What windows version do you have? STEVE1103 November 23rd, 2007, 06:27 PM Yes its a USB 1.1, Tryed several drivers already and none seem to work, wish I could find my softwear. Thanks everyone!:uke: Windows XP MCV 2005 NooNoo November 23rd, 2007, 06:32 PM So do you want to try and fix it? What windows do you have? Do you have a branded pc like time, or hp or compaq? If so, what make and model? STEVE1103 November 24th, 2007, 07:46 AM Windows XP MCV 2005, Dell computer, Demention E310. Would like to fix it. NooNoo November 24th, 2007, 08:42 AM USB will work fine on Media Centre What exactly did you do with the drivers? Did you plug the scanner in first or when the software asked you to? Do you have any other usb devices? Do they work? NooNoo November 24th, 2007, 08:47 AM Just looked up the Dimension E310 - it didn't come with media centre, did you put media centre on? What is the service tag on the back of the computer? STEVE1103 November 24th, 2007, 01:58 PM Computer went south, friend tryed to fix it but had to clear everthing out, reinstalled the Windows. Can't find my driver for the scanner. Have most everthing working, but the scanner and don't have any sound. Service Tag: FXVCX81 NooNoo November 24th, 2007, 02:06 PM OK, please answer the questions Did you download the driver from the links above? Do you have any other usb devices and are they working ok? Are you sure you have windows media center? Why didn't you put back Windows XP? The Service tag you gave is for a OptiPlex GX620 not a Dimension E310. Which is it? Have you done all the windows updates? Right click my computer, select properties - what service pack is shown? STEVE1103 November 24th, 2007, 08:19 PM Tryed to download, came up couldn't find scanner on both, the printer is working, Have Windows XP MCE version 2002, Dell E310 FKVCX81, had left the K out before.Have all updates, service pack #2 NooNoo November 24th, 2007, 11:16 PM Here is the dell driver page for your machine (http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=FKVCX81&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_3100&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=) Start by downloading and installing the chipset drivers. When you installed the scanner drivers, did you plug in the scanner before you installed the drivers or did you plug it in when the driver install requested that you should? If you plugged it in before the software requested you to, boot to safe mode, uninstall the agfa drivers, remove the scanner from the usb port and reboot to normal mode. Install the driver, reboot and then plug in the scanner when the computer has got fully to desktop (no eggtimers anywhere). Does window react at all? When you plugged in the scanner, did it light up? Is the power connected properly? Have you got real player installed? This sometimes does odd things to scanners. If you have uninstall it and then run this (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=C680A7B6-E8FA-45C4-A171-1B389CFACDAD&displaylang=en) to fix any autoplay problems you might have. Have you tried using the xp scanner and camera wizard? STEVE1103 November 25th, 2007, 08:29 AM Will let you know what happens, Thanks STEVE1103 November 25th, 2007, 12:22 PM Still don't have the scanner working, I am not to good with computers, thanks for trying to help me. Wish I could find my softwear, but at 61 you just forget things I guess! NooNoo November 25th, 2007, 12:53 PM Did you boot to safe mode? I am concerned that you have not answered my question about how you have plugged in the scanner twice now. Nor did you answer about the scanner and camera wizard. Did you find any problems with auto play? How about what happens when you plug in the scanner... does Windows react? It is very difficult to help you troubleshoot if you don't answer the questions.. STEVE1103 November 25th, 2007, 05:48 PM Yes I did boot in safe mode, didn't use wizard (don't know what that is)Windows keeps telling me to plug in the scanner, I do and that keeps coming up, plug in scanner! NooNoo November 25th, 2007, 06:33 PM try this (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/scanner_camera_add.mspx?mfr=true) The scanner wizard is basic, but often you find that you can manually install a scanner. Is the snapscan cable secure at both ends? Is the scanner separately powered? When you get asked to plug in the scanner and you do, do you also push the scan button on the scanner? In other words, do you wake up the scanner? STEVE1103 November 26th, 2007, 09:48 AM Cable is tight at both ends, when I turn on computer the light comes on in the scanner, trying to wake up the scanner dosn't work, scanner is separately powered. Found the wizard, didn't work. On computer, snapscan icon says, 2.0 0.9 not 1.1 like my unit. CCT November 26th, 2007, 10:45 AM Reading around that version of driver is problematic - If all else fails you can try the 1.4.0.1 Beta drivers here (#36): http://www.opendrivers.com/categorycompany/16/1427/scanner-agfa-free-driver-download-page0.html windrivers.com
