Help!

Network users unable to access Shared Printer on Domain. I have remote users trying to share a printer. I set up the share. I can see the share. As admin I can print to the share. We are all on XP workstations. The shared printer can be printed to from the original users workstation, but any users that do not have admin rights can't even though I gave "EVERYONE" rights to print to and manage the shared printer. The shared printer can be seen and added to all users workstations but when they attempt to print to it the print job gets stuck in the queue and never prints. This environment doesn't allow user admin rights so what do I do here? I'm lost and the users are screamin'. Help!

Welcome to Windrivers FishBoneForOne

How is the printer connected to the network? Print server? JetDirect card? Connected to PC and shared?
What's the server OS?
What is the printer model?
What is the printer timeout set to?

Looks like permissions issue... some printers require drivers to be installed locally... Is there a generic driver that could be used?

This is a HPLJ1020 printer. It is connected locally to an XP networked PC. I think I've pretty much got it figured out though, as stated above, it's a permissions issue and since I can't go around giving EVERYBODY admin rights I'll just have to setup a GPO to address the issue.

How many workstations are going to connect to the printer? XP home has a limit of 5, Pro has 10.... so while you are digging around in GPedit do this as well (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328459)
