Welcome to Windrivers bestmi

Have you been to Apple for an update? Is that what you mean by a new driver?

Have you tried uninistalling yesterday's updates?

I-tunes is very fussy, try un-installing it then re-installing it.

OK, so reinstall those updates since they have not changed anything.

When you plug in the ipod, I think you may have a filter driver problem... this is the fix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925196) I know it says XP, but it's the same key for Vista.
