Altec Lansing Amplified Speaker System

I have a Altec Lansing ACS340 subwoofer 2 speaker system. I just bought a Hercules Fortissimon II soundcard. I can't get the Altec Lansing stereo subwoofer to work. Everything is hooked up correctly according to the Altec Directions. I have basic sound through the speakers it's just no amplfified stereo sound through the subwoofer. I just had everything up and running with my old Sound Blaster Soundcard. Any ideas?

could be a dud sub woofer system. try it AGAIN with your old sound card first.
