I live in the US and wanted to take as gift a few pen drives to Asia. Is there a power issue regarding USB pen drive? Or will they work find no matter the computer power voltage?

Platypus February 26th, 2008, 01:43 AM The mains voltage a computer operates at makes no difference to the voltage supplied at the USB port, so there will be no issue regarding taking the pen drives to another location. But isn't it a bit like ice to eskimos? :D (I assume they carry logos or something similar... :) ) PacMan February 26th, 2008, 11:17 AM Thanks Platypus, that’s what I figured, but wanted to ask just in case. About the ice and Eskimos, are you saying they have no need in Asian countries for pen drives lool? Man, you cannot believe the amount of “gift shopping” I have been trying to do and with it, how much I keep returning cause I realize they are far ahead in technology (maybe the black market) than us. I don’t how some people do this man, all this gift shopping. And they consider it fun (not to name any genders :)) windrivers.com
