iFolder and offline files

We currently have an environment with 1400 users (students) and are using iFolder (Novell) to grant each user their own storage space. We are thinking about switching everyone over to offline files but I'm worried that 1400 people syncing up in the morning all at the same time will bring our storage server to its knees. Anyone had any experience with offline files and this many users? Any other suggestions?

You're right to think it will bring down the system. I'd implement the GPO and apply it to small groups at a time.
