hey there i am new to this site. I am having a problem with my home pc. it was free.LOL and i cant get the automatic update to install win sr pk 2 ? do u have it?

You should have started your own thread. I will move this post to it's own thread in the Windows XP forum and call it
"I just got a free pc".
Please reply in that thread.

Please post what make and model the PC is. Windows service pack 2 will only install if the windows update finds that the licence is genuine. You may have got a free pc, but you may have inherited an illegal copy of windows. To help you find out, we need to start with the make and model of your pc.
