NooNoo October 4th, 2008, 10:33 AM Maybe they dummed it down further... go somewhere that issues popups and see if you get a dialogue box up? Vakas October 4th, 2008, 10:43 AM I looked on the Symantec site and belive it or not these features are not supported in the 2009 version. It says by default internet Explorer 7.0 or higher has a pop up blocker so use that. As for ds it says you will have to install an ad blocking program on your computer. Is this a security suite or what. Niclo Iste October 4th, 2008, 12:41 PM I looked on the Symantec site and belive it or not these features are not supported in the 2009 version. I'll make the CD install a text document that says, buy a virus scan, buy a fire wall, buy a pop up blocker, etc. It will finish off with oh by the way thanks for buying our software. TrekCaptainUSA October 12th, 2008, 06:46 PM I've had some interesting problems with Norton Internet Security, regardless of version. The Norton pop-up blocker, for a long time, would close whatever browser I was using (usually Firefox) everytime I tried to open a new page in a new tab. I got so annoyed at it, I just turned its pop-up blocker off. As for its ad-blocking, I havent had any trouble with it. :P windrivers.com
