My computer is running extremely slow and I know it's because some program(s) is constantly running in the backround but I can't see it in Task Manager. Is there some program I can use to see a more complete list of programs?

There are many ways to see this.
Start Run ,type in msconfig.
Hit enter and when the new window opens at the top hit the "Startup" tab
Thast will show you alot.
There are other things like spyware and viruses which do the exact same thing slow the computer down.
What antivirus are you using?
What spyware scanning have you done?

I've already cleaned out the startup tab in msconfig (I always keep it bare bones) I'm using F Prot as my AV. It's my understanding that you can get a special program the will tell you which programs are are running, a more complete list than in Task Manager, I would like to get it and see exactly which programs are constantly running and slowing down my system

Maybe give Trend Micro's HiJackThis a run:
http://www.download.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html
it will give you a .txt file and you could post it here. Or go directly to
http://hijackthis.de
and paste it there, and get help to remove the correct items.

Teabags, you link was dead, and there are a fair few experts with hijackthis right here. There is also the link I put in the place of yours, which is an automated help.

Thanks NooNoo
Thats more or less what I was looking for. I also scanned my system with their free anti-malware program, It found a worm, removed it and now my system is back up to speed. Thanks again
