Hi. I have reformatted my computer and I installed all the drivers again and they all work except one. I think it has to do something with my Sound Card. I have a Avance Logic ALS4000. When I start my computer, right before windows loads, it says, PCI Audio Absent! And when I get into windows, it says, Detected new Hardware. It says, Found PCI Raid Controller. I tried installing the software for my ALS4000, but it said that it was the wrong driver. I can't find out anywhere. It has been like this for 4 months. I am running out of ideas, I hope someone can help. One more thing, My GamePort doesnt work, it says that my gamepad is disconnected and wont detect it. And, my mic wont work. I hope that has something to dow ith the PCI Raid Controller. If someone can help, please E-Mail me at, Deadlyharmonics@juno.com If not, Please leave a message here. Thanks.

What hardware do you have? Is there really a raid controller in your system? Give us more info.

It is possible that your motherboard has an onboard IDE RAID controller and that the drivers for this were disabled through the device manager in your previous OS installation rather than the device being disabled on the the motherboard or in CMOS. If your sound card is an older ISA non-PnP model or if it is a poorly designed card, there may be resource confilicts that cannot be resolved by the PnP BIOS or the OS and that must be dealt with manually. My first guess would be a DMA channel conflict, but anything is possible. Whatever, you will have to provide much more information before anyone can help you.
