Niclo Iste March 30th, 2009, 02:14 AM I've never had this problem before, but I was forced to reformat recently. Once I did, I had immediate problems with my audio. Nothing I've installed has worked and I'm afraid I went on an audio-driver-download-spree so I'm scared I have like 659685 drivers for different things on my computer. Here's my info; Operating System System Model Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600) Dell Inc. Dell DXP061 System Service Tag: 3FS8TB1 (support for this PC) Chassis Serial Number: 3FS8TB1 Enclosure Type: Tower Processor a Main Circuit Board b 1.87 gigahertz Intel Core 2 Duo 64 kilobyte primary memory cache 2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: Dell Inc. 0WG855 Serial Number: . I've gone on Intel's website, Dell's- everywhere I could go and nothing seems to have worked. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thank you! When I referenced your chasis serial number I noticed that Intel wouldn't be of any help since you would be using a Soundblaster card. Just for the sake of arguement I have the link to those drivers HERE (http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/downloads/en/downloads_splash?c=us&l=en&s=gen&~mode=popup&file=169315). If you have tried those drivers I could suggest looking at Creatives website (http://support.creative.com/Products/Products.aspx?catid=1) for any reference drivers. I also have a direct link to the Soundblaster Audigy drivers (http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=10808) that may work for you in the event the Dell ones aren't working. Oh and for future reference also in case you didn't get to the right page this is the link (http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=3FS8TB1&SystemID=DIM_PNT_9200_XPS_410&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=) for the drivers for everything that came with the computer at Dells website. Vinc3ntv March 30th, 2009, 09:29 AM Thank you for the response. (: I've tried Dell's website too many times to count. I've downloaded every audio driver or whatever they have on their website, restarted, and to no avail. I actually HAVE a Audigy ADVANCED MB CD by Creative that came with my dell. It was one of the CDs where if you are to reformat or whatever, it's another CD you have to install. But after I reformatted recently, I popped the CD in and it was saying I needed a serial and stuff- which wasn't what it had before. If I remember correctly, the serial was already in and all you had to do was hit Next. As far as your links go, how do I get to the drivers I need? It seems I have to click on the product I have, but I'm not sure what product that is? I'm pretty good with computers.. but I have absolutely no expertize in this area. I know nothing about this stuff and I don't want to be download-happy again because I'm scared I'm downloading the wrong drivers. This is a screenie of my Device Manager. Is there anything I should get rid of? http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b129/Vinc3ntV2/audio.jpg CCT March 30th, 2009, 10:37 AM Dell has a very nice support feature whereby each individual computer they sell has an identifier they now call a System Service Tag. Yours is : 3FS8TB1 So, when you go to the Dell support site and enter that, you get the drivers listed for your individual computer as it shipped. IF you added stuff afterwards, then it is up to you to know what device it was and where the drivers are sourced. So, having said all that, did you add any sound cards? Vinc3ntv March 30th, 2009, 06:46 PM Okay, I appreciate the responses and the help. I ended up solving it, so I have audio now! I downloaded the IDT/PC Audio software and it ended up solving the problem. Thank you though, guys! (: windrivers.com
