I'm having an interesting (and frustrating) problem. In Windows XP, everything was working perfectly. I formatted and installed Windows Vista. Now, my sound output is working fine but my sound input is not working. I can not get any program in Vista to record from my microphone. I've verified the mic working on another computer.
My motherboard is an Asus A8V-VM board.
Any ideas?

Edit: Well, that figures. As soon as I post my problem, I manage to fix it myself. Here's what I had to do...
Change SoundMAX to Windows XP Sp2 Compatibility Mode.
Under Microphone Playback, uncheck the option "Front Panel Microphone."
Thanks, anyways.
