Your router will renew the ip address in one year. There is a setting on most routers, to adjust te "lease" time. In some enviroments, it's advantageous to have a shorter lease time.

I have 3 Linksys routers, 1 with wireless.
They each get a new 'lease' each time I fire up the internet, for 24 hours.

Technically no, the router will renew the lease when the client requests it. The (DHCP) client asks for a new IP address when it starts or when the lease expires, whichever comes first. Each subsequent restart of the client will extend the lease expiration date.
