I have a problem after having performed a full installation of Creative Live!Ware Version 3.0 for SoundBlaster PCI cards.
(have a SB Live! in my system)
I first performed a new Windows 98 Second Edition install on a formated hard disk.
The OS requested the drivers that were first installed from the Live!Ware 3.0 CD and the components were correctly recognised and installed.
Only after the full install of Live!Ware 3.0 with all the programms, my PC hangs up while starting up.
With [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Del], I obtained the message, "msgrv32.dll can not be processed" (sorry if the translation from french is not quite correct)
In fact, this file msgrv32.dll can not be found on c:\.
(A friend of mine who also installed Windows 98 Second Edition can also not find msgrv32.dll on his harddisk.)
With the Windows utility Msconfig.exe, I have then selectively deactivated programms in the start-up list, and found out that if any one of the following programms are started up, the system hangs up:
c:\program files\creative\SBLive\AudioHQ\AHQTB.exe
c:\program files\creative\Launcher\CTLauncher.exe
c:\program files\creative\ShareDLL\CtNotify.exe
Only if all these programms are deactivated , then the system starts up without hanging up.
Can you please give me a solution to this problem ?
Why do I have no msgrv32.dll in my install ?
Many thanks in advance,
