We have a HP Pavilion PC with the following equipment: CrystalPnp Audio System CODEC; Crystal Pnp Audio System Control Registers, Crystal Pnp Audio System MPU-401 Compatable; Gameport Joystick, Wave Device for Voice Modem. How can I find out the manufacturer(s). I need to download new drivers as mine are not "certified" and that is apparently causing problems with our software.

First of all, if it is a proprietary HP, then you should be able to locate the latest/certified drivers for the sound on the Hewlett Packard website: http://www.hp.com
Otherwise you are going to have to find out exactly which chipset the Crystal Audio is inside. For example, a common Crystal set is the CS4232, and you can download the specific drivers.
