I have a IBM thinkpad 380XD and just reinstalled W98SE on it.When I istalled the appropriate drivers from ibm for the sound, the Windows (when restart)show me a error window only with this phrase "CWDAUDIO.DRV". The devices are in Device manager and it shows them as working properly but at the same time sound is not working. Anyone ever see this before .. Or have any idea how to fix it.
Thank you.

That missing file needed in order to get the sound.
Looks like the best thing you can do, is remove and reinstall the sound driver.

for some reason ibm recommends installing the sound driver twice on some notebooks, to get it to work.
