Sound works fine with some programs, with others it runs somehow accelerated at a very high rate.
System Properties indicates no problem.

There is an adjustment in "Sound Recorder" to speed or slow sound , but never heard of it happening in normal sound output ,possibly the files have corrupted , try removing and reloading the Windows multimedia section.
