[RESOLVED] CMI8738 compatibilty issues

i cannot seem to get my c-media CMI8738 (PCI) sound card to work with Fast Tracker 2

i've tried different versions of drivers and "set blaster" settings

if anybody out there can get it working please reply

Hi,
Did you try the link below? It says it's a new driver issued Oct. 3, 2000...it might worth a shot. There is also a link relating to game compatibility.

i'll give it a try, but i think those drivers are the ones that disable softmidi (on my system anyway)

Hi Again,
I did notice that on that Game Compatibility link, that Fast Tracker 2 was not listed.
I know that doesn't help you out much, but it might explain what's going on...just a thought.

it wouldnt be on the game compatibility list because fast tracker 2 = VERY good dos app
