To cure above problem I have just download driver 95v2343.exe from the Yamaha website but when I try to run it the message 'An error occurred during the move data process: -112'. Has anyone tried installing this driver and experienced the same problem. What do I do to get round this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Roger

Hi,
I use that exact same sound card with the driver loaded from Yamaha's web site with no problems at all. When you download that file, you will have to Run it and extract the file/files into a directory...wherever you want...I like using My Documents where I have created a sub-directory called Download.
I would boot into Safe Mode, remove all references to that sound card, etc. Reboot and let Windows find it...tell it that you have the disk. Browse to that location of your downloaded files...hopefully, it'll take off for you.
Hope this helps out...Good Luck!

does the old driver appear in add/remove programs? i have a version of that driver that came zipped, and there is an uninstall program with it. you may need to get that old one out. if you have the old one, see if you can identify the .inf files, and delete them, and try removing that key.

I went to yamaha site, and it now looks like the file is an executable, not a zip. so check if you still have the old driver.
