Win 2000 Sound Card - Compaq 1200

After installing win2k, the sound card stopped working. win2k can't find a compatable driver for my computer. I need an ESS 1869 compatable with win2k Pro. Is there one available? What's up?

There doesn't appear to be any Win 2000 drivers for this chip , you could try asking ess techinfo , but I don't think its worth the effort , best bet is replace the card.
